Counting Sheep. Find out more.

"Counting sheep, so I can sleep" is the first in a series of books exploring early learning experiences and concepts.

For ages 2 to 5.

This book  introduces primary then secondary colours, early mathematics; numbers, counting, addition, direction and punctuation. It is designed to be read aloud and each page discussed, however the contents of each page are not to be used all a once. I envisage you returning to re-read this book, repeating the same experience often before moving on to later concepts.
  • Pages on the right within the book are for tracing, colouring in, outlining the numbers and later outlining the words and doing the sums.
  • At the earliest developmental stage, the adult would read the book and point at each sheep as they count.
  • Each page has numerals and number-words. Each page has a sum, which could be discussed at a later stage, as the child develops.
  • Each page has next page and last page and later forwards and backwards –directional language.
  • Later readings could be where you introduce the punctuation; the full stop & later question & exclamation marks and even later ellipses and anthropomorphism!
If you would like to order a copy of the book for around £15.00 & PP, please email me & include your phone number and address: michaeljohnomeara@gmail.com The more orders I can get the cheaper the book will be.
